Happy Birthday to Me, 56 Years of Memories

I promise I’m NOT going to share 56 birthday memories, my present birthday is still unfolding, very peacefully and nicely, and I don’t remember my first few. I am often asked if I feel gypped because my birthday is right after Christmas, no, and I’ll tell you why.

I loved my grandparents very much. They moved from NJ to the suburbs of Boston when I was quite young. So every Christmas they would come and spend a week or so with us. This meant that I was the only child in the family that had the pleasure of having my grandparents at our home during my birthday.

  1. Paint by numbers! I remember those and I loved them but never stayed inside the lines or used the correct colors, lol - artists should never do those!
We also had sets of Mosaic by numbers and I would take the little plastic tiles to school with me and make my own designs during lunch.

BTW, I just nominated you for a blog award in the Best Topical Category at: http://2008.bloggies.com/

    Good Luck!

  2. Well i made it, and so glad I did! Happy ‘belated’ birthday Claudia, and tell me, did you paint that picture of the lighthouse???

I have been wanting to explore painting by number for sometime and also doing a small tapestry but just never seem to find the time?? Did the horse take very long to complete?? It looks great!

    Cheers

  4. I have a paint by numbers picture of the Mona Lisa hanging in my laundry room that my father painted. He enjoyed painting by numbers as well…and puzzles. This post reminded me of him.

  5. Hi my friends!

Thank you for all your posts! How fun to receive each and read them.

I can’t wait to add more memories, I am sidetracked with other things, but a bit at a time!
